  • Guild rules for Omen  |  Friday, April 17, 2009 - 6:12 AM
We expect every member and people who are posting their applications to have read this. So take your time and do so. Smile

1. Regarding Aplicants:
We want a mature environment, so we set a minimum age of 16 if you want to aply. Also this minimizes the chance that people have to leave a raid because parents tell them to go to bed.

The Guildleader, the Officers and Classleaders of Omen will upon guildinvite evaluate every initiates skills and social behaviour. So the time from entering Omen untill becoming a full member of Omen can vary.
However the most common timeframe for that would be a maximum of 2 weeks. Some people will show superior skills and social behaviour and will be promoted much sooner than that. Others might lack skills Omen requires, and might thus be denied. If your evaluation Period surpasses 2 weeks, i want you to contact your Classleader or any Officer if your classleader is not present. We will sort it asap. We want happy people in the guild.

During your time as Initiate you will only be able to Greed for Items in Raids. This is to prevent people to only enter the guild to go after a specific upgrade and then leave again.

2. Regarding Members and those who want to become full members:
We expect a mature behaviour in the guild. That means we will not tollerate any abusive behaviour through language or actions, be it inside the guild aswell as outside the guild. If a officer or the Guildleader learns that a member of Omen does not behave well in Pug runs we will investigate the matter and depending on the severity of the issue take actions. The hardest penalty would be an imidiate guildexclusion.

We will not tollerate bullying and herrasment.

We want to keep Omen a friendly guild. Jokes and humour are one thing, and is much apreciated. However as our cultural backgrounds vary humour and tollerance to certain jokes or beliefs can vary a great deal aswell. We will not tollerate herrasment of religious or social minorities. This is a game and RL Politics have no place here. Again... We want Omen to be a fun and friendly guild.

It is very welcome to be helpfull towards your guildies aswell as outsiders. Ignoring guildies who are in need of help is not a bad offence and will not result in any actions against you but it shows a great deal who has the correct "guild-spirit" we are after and who has not. So help eachother out. You migth end up in a situation where you might need help, and if people remember you as a helpfull person it is very unlikely you will find it hard to get help.

If the Guildleader, Officers or any classleaders of Omen discover that a member of Omen has aplied to a different Guild, this will result in a imediate Gkick. This shows that Omen is not where you want to be.

If the Guildleader, Officers or any Classleader of Omen learns that a member of Omen did participate on a pugged Raid that is on the Raidplanner of Omen this will result in a final warning.

A raid on the raidplanner means a raid that Omen still considers a "Main-raid" and plans official raids for every week.

After it happens a second time that member will imidiately recieve a gkick.

In order to progress we need all members to be dedicated towards our Raids and Guild. Raids that are outside our Raidplanner and that we are not considering as official Raids can be pugged freely, without any penalties at all. This is a friendly guild and we dont want to hold back people.

If you for any unforeseen reason will be afk from WoW we expect you to post it on the forum so we can adjust to that. Members that become inactive over a longer period of time without notifying anyone for the reasons, will risk a gkick. However. This would mean weeks rather than days.

We in Omen expect to have dedicated and skilled members, it is up to you to ensure that your gear and your talents are up to standard. We expect you to read up upon ways to improove your class and to be open to suggestions from your classleaders to improove your gear and/or talents.

However on specific ocasions where it is in the guilds interest to have a specific member geared in for example resistance gear, it is only fair that the guild will gear up that member in the respective gear. That means mats and costs for these items and/or respecs will be taken on the Gbanks account, and Guildruns for farming badges in heroics can be arranged.

Be nice to eachother. Be dedicated and treat everybody as you want to be treated yourself. This is only a game, but we spend a great deal of time with it. So to improove everyones experience within the guild. Respect eachother. Respect Players from Other guilds.

Also do not engage in a discussion over a matter that Officers have decided on. They are working hard to ensure your wellbeing. They make decisions that help you progress in your skills, gear and in your overall gameexperience. From time to time you might not agree with an officers decision. But then again, its the same in RL, be it your teacher, your boss, your football coach, or your friends or parents. We are all individuals, and we can not always agree on everythig.

Last of all. Be active... Be dedicated. Show us that you want progress, and that you want to earn your share in it. We will not boost anyone to progress who doesnt actively participate in guildlife, be it reading the forums now and then or hang around in the guild chat. People who only log on to ask for raids and then log of again will not be considered as active.

  • Nutty question  |  Friday, April 17, 2009 - 6:20 AM
well for the template we would like an answer to a nutty question.

 Here it goes :

If a dwarf, a blood elf and you were stranded on a deserted isle and you only had a pencil and some ducktape with you, what would you do ?

Now think it over a bit and post a good personal answer to it.

Cheers Larch

  • Concerning pugged raids  |  Friday, April 17, 2009 - 9:07 AM
Be aware that it is not allowed to pug Raids that are on the planner.
The only Raids that currently are allowed to be pugged are: all pre Wotlk, Naxx10, Malygos10, OS10, Voa10 and VoA25

The first time any member apart from social/alt/officer alt will be seen participating in a blacklisted pug, he/she will recieve a final warning and a penalty decided by the officers. The second time will result in an imediate guild kick.

We expect and require our members to be available for the guilds Raids at all times. Because of that it will not be tollerated if anyone would decide to pug a blacklisted pug. We are a raid guild, and thus we need to enforce certain rules to make sure that the guild is always operational to raid.

New members that join can on the resettimer they joined complete raids in progress however. But only for the duration of that reset timer, and it is not allowed to join a new pug that is blacklisted,

Social members and alts however are free to pug all content. However if we need a member on his maincharacter while we are on a progressionraid, and he/she at that time is in a pug, we might ask that player to leave the raid and join the guilds progression raid on his/her main.
